As a doula in the Pomelo network, you will educate and guide families during pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period, playing a vital role in enhancing birth outcomes and supporting families during this transformative time.

Responsibilities
Educate and guide expecting and new families throughout pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period
Ensure that families feel supported and empowered during this transformative time
Accept insurance hassle-free by credentialing with health plans and handling billing and admin paperwork
Maintain a flexible schedule by choosing how many clients to see through Pomelo
Provide client outreach support to grow your client base
Grow the doula community within the Pomelo network
Qualification
Required
Completed certification / training as a birth and/or full spectrum doula
Experience working as a doula with in-depth understanding of pregnancy, childbirth, breastfeeding, and postpartum recovery
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to connect with families from diverse backgrounds both virtually and in-person
Comfortable using telehealth platforms, video conferencing tools, and electronic documentation systems
Able to work virtually and in-person, as well as evenings and weekends, to accommodate the needs of families
Doula certification/training. If you have doula training (birth and/or full-spectrum) without certification, three client recommendation letters will be required
NPI number
Adult & Infant CPR & First Aid Certification
Completion of an OIG background screening
Preferred
Liability insurance (strongly recommended but not required)
