Founding Account Executive

Humanloop is a company focused on building a scalable sales foundation, and they are seeking their first Account Executive to help drive growth. In this role, you will own the full sales cycle for mid-market and enterprise customers, collaborating with various teams to refine sales methodologies and improve market positioning.

Responsibilities

Own the full sales cycle – from initial outreach through to deal close
Find your way to the right people at prospective customers, educate them about LLMs, and help them succeed
Drive top of funnel activity and manage your own pipeline (we currently use Hubspot as a CRM)
Work closely with customer prospects as a trusted advisor who deeply understands their challenges and goals, and will tailor solutions to drive impact for their businesses
Skillfully negotiate contract terms and pricing to achieve win-win outcomes
Work closely with the marketing and product teams
Ideate on new sales processes and identify process improvements that optimize sales productivity and consistency
Continuously refine the sales methodology by incorporating learnings into playbooks, templates, and best practices

Required

3+ years of quota carrying and closing customers in B2B sales, with a track record of selling technical solutions to mid-market or enterprise clients
Experience working in a startup (pre-series D)
Proven track record of generating lead pipeline, and of exceeding sales targets and quotas
Familiarity selling to technical stakeholders, and securing deals by understanding multifaceted technical requirements and crafting tailored solutions
Self-selecting into a startup and the chaos and opportunity that come along with that. You're eager to ‘do the work,' big and small
Empathy and eagerness to understand our customers' needs and a consultative sales approach
Excellent communication skills and the ability to build connections across all customer levels, from ICs to C-level executives, with both technical and non-technical audiences
You're genuinely excited about AI and its potential societal impacts. You want to be part of a company helping to ensure that AI is safe and useful to society
Growth mindset. Giving and taking feedback is one of the most important aspects of our company culture. The quicker you are able to act on feedback, the faster you learn
Self-starter mentality with a drive to achieve. Strong ability to work independently and prioritize effectively. Capacity to pivot strategies quickly and effectively in response to market feedback and team goals

Preferred

Experience as an SDR. In generating prospects and leads creatively, leveraging various channels and techniques
Experience as a founding AE
Experience at a developer focused company or in the AI space
