The role involves performing geotechnical field investigations, managing subcontract drilling services, and preparing engineering reports and proposals while collaborating with clients and design teams.

Responsibilities

Perform geotechnical field investigations. This may include boring layouts, drilling inspections, and running geophysical surveys

Coordinate and assist with managing the scope of services provided by subcontract drilling firms

Perform visual classification and laboratory testing of soil samples

Perform geotechnical field inspections during the construction phase, as needed

Preparing geotechnical engineering reports

Preparing geotechnical proposals and attending client meetings

Participate in meetings with design team, stakeholders, and clients

Qualification

Geotechnical engineeringEIT licenseCivil engineering degreeEffective communicationSelf-motivation

Required

B.S. degree in civil engineering or related field

3 to 6+ years of progressive experience in the geotechnical engineering field

EIT license (PE is a plus)

Effective verbal and written communication

Driver's License Required

Possess a high capacity for self-motivation and be able to apply engineering knowledge to a variety of projects
