Responsibilities

Develop and maintain PERL CGI web-based applications that interact with a SQL backend database (Oracle) on an open source platform (Linux)

Focus on generating dynamic web content after querying a back end database

Test and document developed code prior to release into production

Meet with end users to gather requirements/details for bugs/enhancements

Implement bug fixes/enhancements as tasked from from Bugzilla bug/enhancement tracking system

Code review/peer review, to include quality testing and documentation of modifications

Work with Git as a source repository for changes

Work in a collaborative environment when developing or correcting application issues

Required

Requires a Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, any related IT degree field is acceptable that incorporates software development

1 years: JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and SQL with a strong understanding of relational databases

1 years: Common Gateway Interface (CGI) Web-based development of applications using PERL (PHP and Python are acceptable substitutes for PERL) on an open source platform (e.g. LAMP stack)

1 years: Working knowledge of Linux operating system (shell preferred). Ability to navigate the operating system at the command line level, create and edit (vi based editor) files on the system

A valid/clear driver's license is required
