Responsibilities
Architect and lead the development of AI systems infrastructure to support LLM-based applications at enterprise scale
Build and maintain scalable, high-performance backend services and deployment pipelines for AI workloads
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate user requirements into robust technical solutions
Develop and optimize CI/CD pipelines for fast, safe, and frequent releases
Implement observability frameworks (monitoring, alerting, logging) to support infrastructure reliability
Conduct performance tuning and capacity planning for AI systems and platforms
Lead incident response and root cause analysis for production issues
Mentor team members and promote a culture of high-quality, scalable engineering
Proactively identify and implement improvements to infrastructure, reliability, and development velocity
Qualification
Required
12+ years of software engineering experience, focused on backend systems, infrastructure, and scalability
Proficiency in Python, Go, or Java
Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
Expertise in containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes
Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, Puppet)
Skilled in observability and monitoring stacks (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK)
Deep understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps best practices
Proven experience troubleshooting and optimizing complex distributed systems
Strong communication and cross-team collaboration skills
Product-oriented mindset with a focus on user impact
Active TS/SCI with Polygraph required
Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline (an additional 4 years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree)
Preferred
Experience working with Large Language Models (LLMs) or machine learning infrastructure
Familiarity with MLOps, model serving, and AI workload optimization
Knowledge of A/B testing frameworks and feature flag systems
Experience with real-time data platforms (e.g., Apache Kafka, Flink)
Background in microservices and distributed systems architecture
Open-source contributions
Understanding of security, compliance, and risk management in distributed systems
Exposure to chaos engineering and resilience testing
