Responsibilities

Complete the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of HVAC equipment and related duties as assigned
Install, maintain, repair, overhaul, and calibrate all types of heating, ventilating and air conditioning equipment including pumps, boilers, burners, temperature controls, thermostats, air conditioning and ventilating units, condensers, fans, evaporators, controls, related electrical apparatus and smoke and fire detecting and damping systems
Estimate materials, supplies and equipment required to perform work assignments

Qualification

HVAC installationHVAC maintenanceHVAC troubleshootingMaryland HVAC Journeymen LicenseCommercial HVAC systemsDiplomaMaryland Class C driver’s licenseSoft skills

Required

Work requires a high school level of educational development
Completion of a four-year HVAC apprenticeship program
Maryland Class C driver's license required
Maryland HVAC Journeymen License required
Ten years of equivalent training and experience in commercial or industrial HVAC systems may be substituted for Maryland License

Preferred

Preference given to candidates with prior experience in hospital settings
