Materials Planning & Procurement Analyst

The Materials Planning & Procurement Analyst will be responsible for analyzing forecasts, planning inventory, and managing the procurement of raw materials to support operations, ensuring optimal inventory levels and supplier relationship management.

Responsibilities

Understands and upholds B Corp principles which consider all stakeholder groups: community, customers, environment, governance and workers
Monitor inventory levels on site as well as at 3PL partner facilities to ensure materials are on site and available to meet customer needs
Collaborate with planning, production, sales and logistics to ensure seamless planning and fulfillment
Source and purchase raw materials, components and services to support production and business operations
Manage communications with vendors, carriers and storage partners regarding order fulfillment, transit and storage
Resolve issues related to delivery delays, quality discrepancies and material shortages or damage
Work cross functionally with internal departments to ensure alignment on supply chain goals
Monitor inventory levels, analyze demand patterns and implement inventory management strategies to manage stock levels, avoid shortages or excess inventory and reduce carrying costs
Manage supplier relationships, including regular communications, performance evaluations and issue resolution
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as cost, quality and on time delivery to identify areas for improvement and report on effectiveness
Continuously evaluate and improve procurement practices, including identifying cost-saving opportunities and process enhancements
Collaborate cross functionally with sales, planning, finance, and operations to support operational goals

Required

Bachelor's degree in business, Operations Management, Supply Chain, or a related field (Master's preferred)
7+ years of experience in operations leadership, preferably in food and beverage manufacturing
Expertise in supply chain optimization, and continuous improvement methodologies
Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced supply chain management tools
Exceptional leadership and servant leadership skills, with a focus on team development and empowerment
Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
Deep understanding of food safety regulations, quality assurance, and operational compliance
