Guthrie is seeking a physician-scientist anesthesiologist to oversee the clinical research activities of residents, medical students, and faculty at their Robert Packer Hospital anesthesiology residency program. The Director will collaborate with the Guthrie Foundation to assist with research projects, submissions, and clinical teaching in the operating room.

Responsibilities

Oversee the clinical research activities of residents, medical students, and other faculty

Partner with the Guthrie Foundation

Assist with IRB submissions, obtaining consents, and analyzing data

Help residents and students plan research projects and coordinate timelines for poster and presentation submissions to conferences

Influence the submission of articles to publications, including anesthesiology specialty journals and The Guthrie Journal

Involved with clinical teaching in the operating room several days per week

Required

Physician-scientist anesthesiologist

Hold a PhD or be a recipient of a research grant

Experience in overseeing clinical research activities

Ability to partner with the Guthrie Foundation and work with research coordinators and statisticians

Experience with IRB submissions, obtaining consents, and analyzing data

Ability to help residents and students plan research projects

Experience coordinating timelines for poster and presentation submissions to conferences

Involvement in the submission of articles to publications, including anesthesiology specialty journals

Clinical teaching experience in the operating room
