Surgery Clinical Practice Coordinator
Upstate Medical University is seeking a Surgery Clinical Practice Coordinator (SCPC) to facilitate coordination between multidisciplinary teams caring for inpatient surgery patients. Responsibilities
Facilitates coordination between multidisciplinary teams caring for inpatient surgery patients
Ensure high-quality outcomes on acute care surgical units (5A, 5B, 7A)
Collaborate with local and national experts to drive innovative care
Lead organizational and system change
Optimize resources to improve patient outcomes
Provide clinical expertise
Staff education
Lead and/or assist with system-wide surgical initiatives
Maintain effective relationships with nursing leaders and interdisciplinary colleagues
Demonstrate professionalism and leadership within the institution
Exemplifies Upstate's mission, vision, and values
Practicing in accordance with Upstate's policies and procedures
Qualification
Required
NYS licensed/registered RN
Master's degree in Nursing
three years post licensure acute care experience
Excellent written/oral communication skills
organizational skills
strong problem-solving abilities
CPR-BLS certification by the time of appointment
Preferred
National certification in a specialty field
