Responsibilities

Assist in all aspects of dental exams and procedures under the supervision of dentist or Director of Dentistry
Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of dental instruments, techniques, and procedures
Perform patient care activities in accordance with policies and procedures
Perform x-rays and impressions
Upkeep all areas of the Dental Department to always ensure high level of cleanliness
Obtain clinical privileges if applicable
Assist with dental outreach program as directed
Follow the organization’s exposure control plans and bloodborne and airborne pathogens protocol
Demonstrate respect and regard for the dignity of all patients, families, visitors, and fellow employees to ensure a professional, responsible, and courteous environment
Work on a team toward surpassing departmental goals and objectives across multiple departments and facilities
Promotes positive working relations and works effectively as part of a department/unit intra departmentally to facilitate the department's/unit's ability to meet its goals and objectives
Carry out all other duties as assigned

Dental Assisting RegistrationDental terminology knowledgeDental equipment knowledgeCPR certificationFirst Aid certificationAED certificationCompassionate careTeamwork

Required

Current Dental Assisting Registration certification from the State of Washington required
Must have or obtain current CPR, First Aid, and AED certification within three (3) months or hire
Working knowledge of current dental terminology, equipment, and procedures relating to dentistry required

Preferred

Minimum one (1) year of dental assisting experience preferred
