Manager, Advanced Practice Providers

Responsibilities
Assist Director in the implementation of strategic plans and initiatives for the APP workgroup
Assist in the development and implementation of APP policies and programs
Facilitate an environment promoting professional growth and development and satisfaction in the APP workgroup
Handle people management responsibilities
Assist in the ongoing evaluation of APP utilization, optimization and productivity
Demonstrate leadership through site visits and to ensure APP support
Represent APPs in organizational meetings and committees
Other duties as assigned
Provide oversight of clinical performance, including the development and monitoring of quality metrics, best practices and performance improvement initiatives
Oversees scheduling, workload distribution and resource allocation to ensure efficient and effective operations
Collaborate with practice administrators, physicians and practice leadership
Perform ongoing evaluation, feedback and perform annual performance reviews
Lead the recruitment and onboarding of APPs to the practice
Develop and oversee onboarding, preceptor & mentorship programs
Implement orientation and continued education programs for APPs
Qualification
Required
Master's or Doctorate Degree in Physician Assistant studies or Nurse Practitioner studies
APP (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) licensure required
At least 5 years of health care experience required; preference is for experience as an APP in community oncology, or related space
Excellent verbal/written and organizational skills. Ability to multi-task is a must
Excellent computer skills including: MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, Outlook
Must be willing to travel
Preferred
At least 1 year of managerial experience preferred
APP with hematology/oncology experience strongly preferred, other specialty experience a plus
