Responsibilities

You'll be at the forefront of automation, designing and programming PLC and HMI applications for natural gas compressor stations and similar facilities

You'll lead internal QA reviews, develop test plans, and conduct Client Software Acceptance Testing (SAT) in simulation environments to ensure flawless functionality before deployment

On-site, you'll bring systems to life—deploying software, configuring networks, and performing commissioning activities including I/O verification, SCADA integrity checks, and cause-and-effect testing

You'll lead functional and mode testing under all operating conditions, validating everything from load sharing to safety shutdowns

As a technical leader, you'll coordinate closely with client teams, Gas Control, and SCADA groups, troubleshooting issues and guiding system integration across compressors, coolers, dryers, and more

Plus, you'll maintain precise documentation and manage redlines throughout commissioning, delivering polished, updated packages at project completion

Required

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)

Minimum of 5 years of control engineering focused in natural gas compressor stations or midstream oil & gas facilities

Proficiency with Rockwell Automation Studio 5000 and FactoryTalk View ME/SE

Experience with SCADA integration, industrial networking, and process control systems

Preferred

Experience with compressor load sharing and load balancing controls

Familiarity with PI data collection and historian systems

Understanding of TSA/Cybersecurity compliance requirements for control systems
