Florida Technical College is seeking an Associate Director of Financial Aid to assist the Director in overseeing the school’s Financial Aid operations. The role involves managing financial aid processes, conducting student interviews, and ensuring compliance with federal regulations while supervising the Financial Services team.

Responsibilities

Assist in the supervision of the Financial Services team and assigning responsibilities

Ensure proper awarding of Federal funds and completion of verification

Audits and certifies all files for each start date, including verification of all documents uploaded

Designs, establishes, and maintains an organizational structure and staffing to effectively accomplish the organization’s goals and objectives; trains, supervises and evaluates unit staff

Develops and recommends policies for financial aid that support the goals and policies of the institution and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations

Monitor, evaluate, and recommend financial aid to qualified student applicants

Meet with students to analyze student eligibility for financial aid; review and approve student loans. Input FAFSAs daily and print needs analysis for file review, monitor, and adjust student aid awards as necessary. Resolve student appeals pertaining to their financial aid eligibility/awards

Administer multiple student assistance programs (Federal and private). Package futures to a 0 balance and schedule their aid in CampusVue

Staff meetings and 1 on 1 meetings with FA members

Employee Performance Management (Coaching/Mentoring)
