Responsibilities

Oversee general ledger functions, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations
Prepare and review financial statements in compliance with GAAP
Maintain the chart of accounts and ensure accurate transaction coding
Review customer and vendor contracts for proper accounting treatment
Partner with operations and sales teams to ensure accurate invoicing, subscription billing, and expense reporting
Reconcile deferred revenue and other key accounts
Lead and execute month-end close, meeting tight deadlines
Prepare variance and trend analyses for management and investors
Maintain thorough documentation for all reconciliations
Support annual audits and due diligence processes by preparing schedules and reports
Ensure compliance with internal controls and corporate accounting policies
Collaborate with finance leadership to streamline workflows and implement automation
Leverage technology to enhance accounting efficiency and scalability
Work with FP&A on actual-to-budget reporting and forecasting
Partner with HR/Payroll to ensure accurate payroll and benefits accounting

Required

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
2–5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with exposure to high-growth technology or software environments preferred
Strong understanding of US GAAP; familiarity with ASC 606 a plus
Experience with ERP/accounting systems (e.g., NetSuite, Sage Intacct, QuickBooks, or similar)
Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, data analysis)
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Preferred

CPA license (active or in-progress)
Experience in subscription-based or recurring revenue business models
Familiarity with cloud-based tools and billing platforms
