Huntsville Memorial Hospital is seeking a PRN Ultrasound Tech to join their imaging team. The Ultrasonographer will prepare equipment and patients for ultrasound procedures, perform ultrasounds safely and accurately, and maintain a safe environment to ensure high-quality patient care and imaging.

Responsibilities

Safely performs all ultrasound procedures in accordance with established procedures

Position and transfer patients appropriately

Provide immobilization devices as required

Select proper technical factors on an individual patient basis

Select and operate all equipment as directed

Move images to PACS

Provide protection in accordance with prescribed safety standards

Assist physicians in administering accepted contrast media

Practice sterile technique and prevent cross contamination

Attends in-services and meetings as required

Maintains patient confidentiality and appropriate handling of PHI

Abides by the HMH Legal Compliance Code of Conduct

Maintains a safe work environment and reports safety concerns appropriately

Perform all other related functions as directed
