Curriculum/Scheduling Analyst

California State University, Los Angeles is seeking a Curriculum/Scheduling Analyst to join their Academic Affairs team. Responsibilities

Serve as the primary course scheduler for the unit
Independently providing problem-solving techniques and skills in investigating, evaluating, and analyzing problems in curriculum when it affects scheduling of courses
Planning and leading the schedule building cycle and assisting with term workload review for each term
Serves as the primary point of contact for faculty, staff and students seeking assistance with questions pertaining to curriculum and course scheduling
Coordinates the curriculum revision cycle
Solicits, reviews, and tracks changes in Curriculog
Coordinates revisions with the scheduling building cycle

Required

Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university and/or equivalent training and administrative work experience involving study, analysis, and/or evaluation leading to the development or improvement of administrative policies, procedures, practices, or programs
Four years of progressively responsible experience providing day-to-day administration of a program, and/or performing a variety of administrative and technical (analytical work related to operations and procedures) duties such as: fiscal analysis and management; program and policy research development, implementation, and evaluation
Working knowledge of curriculum and scheduling policies and procedures
Knowledge of basic methods and procedures for research and statistical analysis and the ability to apply them
Highly developed quantitative and reasoning skills, attention to detail; excellent oral/written communication, listening, and interpretive skills
Demonstrated high level of proficiency in the use of computer programs such as MS Office and platforms such as GET, 25Live, and Curriculog
Ability to learn, interpret, and apply a wide variety of policies and procedures relating to and impacting the applicable program, organizational unit, and/or administrative specialty
Ability to analyze data and make accurate projections using business mathematics and basic statistical techniques
Ability to organize and plan work and projects including handling multiple priorities
Ability to make independent decisions and exercise sound judgment
Ability to compile, write, and present reports related to program or administrative specialty
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with faculty, students, and staff, within and outside the work group and serve as a liaison for the organizational unit
Demonstrated interest and/or ability in working in a multicultural/multiethnic environment
Completion of a background check (including a criminal records check) satisfactorily before any candidate can be offered a position with the CSU
