Responsibilities

Develop, optimize, and maintain CNC programs for multi-axis machining centers used in the production of door automation systems and industrial components while providing day-to-day technical support to machining cells, including troubleshooting programs, tooling, and equipment issues

Collaborate with machinists and operators to improve setup efficiency, reduce cycle times, ensure consistent part quality and participate and initiate lean activities and improvement projects to support overall manufacturing efficiency and safety throughout the plant

Interpret complex part drawings and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) to create efficient machining strategies and tool paths

Support new product introductions by developing CNC programs and coordinating first article inspections

Train operators and technicians on CNC programming updates, machining best practices, and new equipment

Required

5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment and assembly processes

Experience with Solidworks, Draftsight, drafting, production cell design with the ability to read, analyze and interpret technical drawings with a strong background in GD&T

Background in CNC machining including machine tool technology (Haas VF mills and ST lathes), workholding, fixture design, reading/writing G-code and CAM (Computer Aided-Machining) software

In depth knowledge and experience developing and implementing LEAN processes

Strong knowledge of machining principles, including cutting speeds and feeds, tool selection, material properties, and chip control

Preferred

Bachelor's degree in relevant engineering or technical discipline with Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering

Exposure to ESPRIT or CAMWorks

Black Belt or Green Belt Certification
