Information Technology & Systems Manager
The City of South Pasadena is seeking a visionary and technically skilled Information Technology & Systems Manager to lead its newly established IT Division. The role involves overseeing citywide IT systems, managing vendor relationships, and driving initiatives in smart infrastructure, cybersecurity, and digital transformation.

Responsibilities
Shape and modernize the City’s IT landscape through innovative initiatives in smart infrastructure, cybersecurity, and digital transformation
Oversee all citywide IT systems through a contracted managed service provider (MSP)
Act as the City’s go-to technology expert for leadership and departments
Engage in IT planning, vendor management, cloud systems, municipal applications, and cybersecurity
Manage major investments including a citywide ERP upgrade, cloud migration, and network modernization
Qualification
Required
Visionary and service-driven mindset
Technically skilled in IT planning, vendor management, cloud systems, municipal applications, and cybersecurity
Experience in leading IT initiatives and managing IT systems
Ability to oversee citywide IT systems through a contracted managed service provider (MSP)
Strategic thinking and hands-on leadership
Experience with citywide ERP upgrades, cloud migration, and network modernization

Vacation accrues based on years of service and experience; service with other agencies counts. Employees may cash out vacation once per year.
Sick Leave: 96 hours (rolls over annually)
Executive Leave: 90 hours (may cash out up to 60)
Holidays: 12 designated holidays + 2 floating holidays
Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision plans through CalPERS for the employee and their family. The City pays a significant portion of the premiums.
Optional for employee contribution through Empower. 1% Base Salary Contribution from the City into your account per pay period.
Retirement benefits are offered through CalPERS, with Classic members receiving a benefit of 2.0 @ 55 and employees paying a 7% contribution. The City does not participate in Social Security.
