North Coast Brewing Company, an award-winning craft beer producer, is seeking a Senior Accountant/Controller to oversee all accounting functions under the supervision of the CFO. The role involves maintaining accurate financial records in accordance with accounting principles and assisting management with planning and analysis while fostering a high-performance culture.

Responsibilities

Oversight of all accounting functions of the North Coast Brewing Company, Inc. under the supervision of the CFO
Ensuring that the Company’s books of account are maintained in accordance with standard accounting principles and Company policy
Generate accurate and timely financial reporting
Assist management in planning and analysis
Participate in a high-performance culture that embraces our B Corp mission and emphasizes empowerment, quality, productivity, high standards, and goal attainment

Qualification

CPA certificationGeneral ledger accountingFinancial statement presentationExcel expertiseERP systemsAnalytical skillsSupervisory experienceCost accountingInterpersonal skillsAttention to detail

Required

Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a closely related field; CPA or other certification desirable but not mandatory
Minimum of 5 years of accounting/finance experience performing tasks described below
Strong analytical skills, high attention to detail, and a passion and curiosity for problem solving
Ability to recommend, review, understand, and explain complex accounting, tax, and other rules, regulations, and internal controls
Experience with a variety of software and tools including expertise in Excel and ERP systems
Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively across the organization
Thorough knowledge of general ledger accounting, account reconciliation, and standard financial statement presentation
Supervisory experience
Ability to work a majority of time in person at the North Coast Brewing Company facility
Desire to improve skills and advance in the accounting and management fields

Preferred

Cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment desirable
