Electro-Mechanical Design Engineer / Principal Engineer

Responsibilities
Design and develop wiring harness/cable assembly installations into air vehicles for multiple aerospace programs using SAE AS 50881 and proven commercial practices as a guide
Working independently under general supervision and as part of a large multi-disciplined team
Collaborate with inter-departmental vehicle sub-system departments including aircraft structure, equipment installation, hydraulics, environmental control systems, and manufacturing teams
Facilitating design reviews with key stakeholders to ensure designs meet requirements
Attending internal program, customer and/or supplier technical exchange meetings and/or formal program milestone reviews to provide and/or obtain progress status updates
The selected candidate should thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, and collaborative/team settings across all levels
Qualification
Required
Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM discipline AND 2 years of engineering experience for Electro-Mechanical Design Engineer
Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM discipline AND 5 years of engineering experience, OR Master's degree AND 3 years of engineering experience for Principal Electro-Mechanical Design Engineer
Ability to transfer and maintain the final adjudicated government secret clearance, and any program access(es) required for the position within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company
Experience in a 3D design tool such as NX, Catia V5, or ProE
Preferred
Experience with wire harness design and routing principles such as EMI separation, military connectors and backshells, shielding and overbraid, splicing, minimum bend radius, chafe protection, electrical bonding, and grounding
