Responsibilities
To provide mammographic images of the highest technical quality with minimal supervision in a timely manner in order to assist physicians in the diagnosis of disease in patients
The incumbent review x-ray requests, physician orders or patients chart to assure that correct procedures are requested, introduce themselves to patient, document patient history, explains, and answers questions about mammogram procedures
Ensure diagnostic excellence
Practice radiation safety measures to prevent injury to patient
Secure and maintain supplies with care to help control cost and avoid delays
Qualification
Required
High school or its equivalent, have satisfactorily completed form a Radiologic Technologist training in an approved school
Be registered by ARRT
This position serves patient population categories of infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
Preferred
Desirable to have obtained certification in mammography or at least 1 year training or experience specifically in mammography
