LaBella Associates is seeking an Electronic Security Designer with a strong focus on municipal and correctional projects. The role involves developing designs, drawings, specifications, and reports for electronic security projects, while also functioning as a project manager through all phases of the project.

Responsibilities

Work with other engineers as part of a Project Team to develop concepts, strategies, designs, drawings, specifications, and reports

Prepare security system drawings and details using AutoCAD

Perform field investigations to document existing conditions

Function as a project manager for Electronic Security projects, through all phases (proposal, design, bidding, and construction)

Must maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a professional manner with co-workers, staff, project managers, other disciplines, and all other employees

Expected to improve current knowledge of technologies and trends, as they apply to the applicable project and market types, and continually strengthens skills

Required

Experience with Access Control, Intrusion Detection, and CCTV systems

Proficiency in AutoCAD is required

Strong writing, organizational and communications skills

Ability to work on several projects simultaneously

Clean criminal record with ability to enter and work within NYS DOCCS facilities

Preferred

Project Management experience is a plus

A certificate or degree in AutoCAD, Access Control, Intrusion Detection, CCTV, or related field is a plus

Familiarity with JVSG, Axis Site Designer, or Avigilon System Design Tool is a plus
