Director/ExecutiveAtlan is a fully remote global organization focused on transforming data chaos into clarity and seamless collaboration. The Director, Remote Model will be responsible for defining and operationalizing best-in-class remote operations, ensuring that all teams understand and thrive within the company’s remote working framework.

Responsibilities
Define what best-in-class remote operations look like for Atlan, building from our existing remote playbook
Codify how we problem-solve, make decisions, manage projects, and share knowledge - with principles that are clear, teachable, and easy to adopt
Build the structures, cadences, and tools that make the Atlan operating system real - from decision logs and RAPID frameworks to async-first communication norms
Define the programs, norms, and practices for collaboration systems other supporting technology (e.g., Slack, project management software), partnering closely with IT
Champion across the company until they become muscle memory
Establish norms that make time our most valuable asset - designing meeting standards, focus time practices, and project rhythms that maximize the return on every hour invested
Design purposeful in-person convenings and lightweight, high-trust rituals that keep us connected - from virtual collaborations to functional offsites that strengthen trust and accelerate problem-solving
Define and track metrics for clarity, adoption, speed, and collaboration quality - using data to refine, evolve, and elevate how we work together
Qualification
Required
Proven track record in business operations, strategy, or scaled program management - ideally in a high-growth, distributed tech company
Experience designing and rolling out company-wide operating models, processes, or norms with measurable adoption
Comfort leading both vision-setting and operational delivery
Deep familiarity with remote-first tools and async collaboration practices
Exceptional influencing skills - you know how to get buy-in across senior leaders and distributed teams without formal authority
