Principal Engineer (MEP - Design Build)
RealREPP is an employee-owned company seeking a Principal Engineer specializing in MEP design. This role involves managing conceptual designs, overseeing a team of engineers, and ensuring compliance with engineering standards throughout project phases.

Responsibilities
Establish department objectives based on company strategic goals
Ensures engineering standards are maintained and followed
Provides design and engineering support to other departments as needed
Services as design expert at project team meetings
Prepares complex preliminary redline design layouts for estimating
Performs more complex calculations for a project, such as heating/cooling loads, equipment selection and sizing, friction loss calculations, etc
Performs site inspections to determine compliance with construction documents and resolves design issues during construction phase
Qualification
Required
Mastery knowledge of applicable systems design, such as HVAC, plumbing, etc., as well as all design engineering aspects
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to communicate with all levels of employees, clients and general contractors
Strong leadership skills
Strong public speaking ability
Strong computer skills, including CADD and Microsoft Office Products, such as Excel
Four-year degree in Engineering or related field
10-15 years of experience
Licensed PE required
Preferred
MS degree preferred
