Munitions Expert - Electronics Engineer

Responsibilities

Under the guidance of the customer, provide analysis of weapons effects using specified computational modeling tools (WASP, CTH, etc.)
Weapons effects modeling of shoulder fired ant-tank, anti-personnel, and thermobaric munitions, and grenade munitions, delivered via under-barrel, precision, and automatic launcher systems, or thrown with the goal of improving an understanding of threat explosive hazards terminal effects
Provide expertise and understanding in threat munition terminal effects, specifically accuracy, heat pressure, fragmentation, and penetration, - on U.S. or foreign materiel or programs
Conduct open source and intelligence research into capabilities and development of indirect-fire munitions weapons effects
Develop all-source assessments, RFIs, briefings, and data in compliance established IC tradecraft requirements, specifically ICD 203 and ICD 206
Input relevant data into customer databases and contribute to intelligence products. (Based on model performance and results)

Required

This position requires a minimum of a Top-Secret clearance with SCI eligibility
Experience in 3D modeling
Experience in Verification and Validation of models
Experience in Finite Element Analysis or hydrocode
Understanding of fluid-dynamic, thermodynamics or shock physics
Knowledge of RF systems and RF physics, waves, antennas, radars
Experience in explosive design and/or testing, including arena testing, is a plus
5+ years of relevant experience
Bachelor's or advanced degree in Electronics Engineering or comparable Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) disciplines will be considered for applicants with operational engineering-based military or industry experience

Preferred
