Business Development Manager – Heimdal, Inc. Direct Air Capture Company

Heimdal, Inc. is a climate technology company focused on developing Direct Air Capture (DAC) facilities to remove CO2 from the atmosphere. The Business Development Manager will lead market expansion and strategic partnerships, identifying new customers and securing funding opportunities to drive revenue growth for Heimdal's operations.

Responsibilities

Identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities for Heimdal’s Direct Air Capture services, including carbon credit offtake agreements and long-term partnerships
Identify, track, and manage funding opportunities (public and private), including preparing and submitting applications for grants, subsidies, and other financial incentives
Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate sustainability leaders, government agencies, climate finance groups, and NGOs
Conduct market analysis to identify emerging trends, competitor activities, and new business segments
Develop proposals, pricing strategies, and contract structures tailored to client needs and market conditions
Create Outreach campaigns, thought leadership content, and industry presence at events
Work closely with operations and engineering teams to ensure commercial agreements align with technical and delivery capabilities
Track and report on KPIs, sales pipeline, and revenue forecasts
Represent Heimdal at industry conferences, trade shows, and policy discussions

Required

Bachelor's degree in business, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field (MBA or advanced degree a plus)
3+ years of experience in business development, sales, or partnerships—preferably in carbon markets, clean energy, or industrial technology
Experience identifying and securing funding from government grants, climate funds, or corporate sustainability programs
Knowledge of voluntary and compliance carbon markets, sustainability frameworks, and climate policy
Proven track record of negotiating and closing high-value deals
Excellent communication, networking, and relationship-building skills
Self-motivated, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, startup environment
Ability to travel for client meetings, conferences, and site visits
