Island Health is looking for an experienced MRI Technologist for their per diem variable shift at their hospital in Anacortes, WA. The role involves performing MRI scans, maintaining patient care, and collaborating with medical staff and radiologists.

Responsibilities

Uses appropriate scan parameters and positions patients accurately to produce scans as prescribed by a physician

Maintains good working rapport with medical staff and Radiologists to provide excellent patient care

Processes and critiques films to be read by radiologists

Provides technologist notes and impressions

Explains procedure to each patient prior to exam

Must have ability to obtain scans on various age groups and patients--prenatal through geriatric. Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and can identify each patient's requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs

Must screen ALL personnel including him/herself before entry into the extreme magnetic field environment
