ENGINEERING STUDENT INTERN II (CIVIL)
The City and County of Honolulu is seeking an Engineering Student Intern II in the Water Resources Division to gain practical civil engineering work experience. The intern will assist in planning and engineering activities for water system improvements on Oahu, including data collection, facility visits, and hydraulic model analysis.

Assisting in the collection of field pressure and flow data

Learning to analyze water consumption and demand
Working with computerized hydraulic models that assist with evaluating BWS water systems

Qualification
Required
Must be a citizen, national or permanent resident alien of the United States or a non-citizen eligible under federal law for unrestricted employment
Graduation from high school or equivalent
Completion of three years of a civil engineering curriculum at a regionally-accredited college or university that offers a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
Current enrollment in a four-year Civil Engineering degree-granting program at a regionally-accredited college or university on a full-time basis
At least a 2.0 overall scholastic average on a 4.0 scale
Completion of 90 college-level credits to include a minimum of 33 civil engineering (CE) credits with at least 27 upper division (300-level and above) CE credits
Education obtained outside of the United States must be comparable to coursework and/or a degree earned at a regionally-accredited college/university in the United States
Must submit evidence of education in order to be given credit
