Electronics Engineer \/ Product Evaluator

Sole Hire is a leader in the fragrance industry, developing innovative, app-connected scenting solutions. They are seeking an Electronics Engineer / Product Evaluator to work on IoT product development, focusing on electronic design, product testing, and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

Review existing PCB and circuit designs with a focus on miniaturization, power efficiency, and cost-effectiveness
Recommend improvements to enhance performance and manufacturability
Design and prototype new electronic systems in collaboration with the Industrial Design and Engineering teams
Work with suppliers and manufacturers to validate components for production
Plan and execute structured tests for components and full products
Measure and analyze performance metrics such as energy consumption, connectivity stability, and durability
Troubleshoot and recommend design improvements based on results
Maintain accurate records of all test protocols, findings, and design changes using tools like Notion or Google Sheets
Develop clear internal documentation standards for ongoing product evaluations
Partner with Industrial Design to integrate electronics seamlessly into product form factors
Coordinate with Software teams to validate electronic-software interactions in Bluetooth/Wi-Fi devices
Contribute insights during product reviews and development meetings

Required

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field
3–5 years of experience in IoT product development (consumer electronics preferred)
Proficiency in PCB design, prototyping, and troubleshooting
Knowledge of low-power design and small form factor integration
Familiarity with BLE, Wi-Fi, microcontrollers, and power management
Ability to manage projects independently and communicate findings clearly

Preferred

Detail-oriented with strong documentation skills
Thrives in iterative, fast-paced development cycles
Proactive communicator and self-starter
Comfortable using Notion, Google Sheets, or similar platforms for project tracking
