As a Principal Mechanical Engineer in the Westinghouse Parts Business, you will prepare and review technical packages for mechanical products, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and provide engineering support to manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities
Prepare and review technical packages including drawings, specifications, and procurement requirements for various mechanical products
Work as part of a cross-functional team including quality engineering, supply chain management, marketing, customer service, and the supplier base
Provide technical input during the proposal process
Develop and/or maintenance of Material Master Data and Parts Baselines in SAP
Determine critical equipment characteristics to support equipment qualification and commercial dedication activities
Assist in the development of equipment qualification test procedures, evaluate test results and review final reports
Prepare Commercial Dedication Instructions
Provide engineering support to manufacturing and shop operations for a variety of products
Perform ASME Section III and/or Section VIII Engineering activities including but not limited to:
Prepare ASME Design Specifications and Design Reports
Review ASME Engineering supplier submittals
Qualification
Required
A Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering is required
5+ Years' experience required
Have a working knowledge of the ASME code with Respect to Section III and/or Section VIII
Prior experience generating ASME Design Specifications and Design Reports with respect to ASME Section III and/or Section VIII
Professional Engineering License
Preferred
Experience with fabrication of ASME code components is a plus
Knowledge of mechanical components including, but not limited to pumps, valves, mechanical seals, motors, etc. is preferred
SAP knowledge, especially production, requisitioning, and material master data management is desired
Experience with writing technical requirements for the procurement of equipment and developing the input for these specifications is a plus
Familiarity with the AP1000 design process is a plus
