Responsibilities

System Design and Development: Design and implement control systems using PLCs, HMIs, and control panel design, with a focus on scalability and maintainability

Code Development: Develop code that is organized, structured, documented, maintainable and scalable

Safety Systems: Design and implement control reliable safety systems for safeguarding hazards

HMI Development: Create intuitive operator touchscreen interfaces

Robotics Integration: Work with robotic systems to automate tasks, improve production efficiency, and enhance system flexibility

Vision and smart sensing Implementation: Integrate vision systems and smart sensors for quality inspection, part identification, and real-time decision-making

Collaboration & Problem Solving: Work closely with engineers, technicians, production staff, and leadership to co-develop innovative solutions, share feedback, and iterate rapidly

Required

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering, Computer Science, or 5+ years' experience in Control Systems Design and Implementation

5+ years of experience in an automation controls role

Preferred

PLC Programming: Proficiency in programming PLCs (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, etc.)

HMI/SCADA Systems: Experience with HMI/SCADA systems for machine interfaces and data visualization

Robotics: Hands-on experience with industrial robots (e.g., Fanuc, Staubli, Wittmann, etc.) for automation and system integration

Vision Systems: Knowledge and experience in integrating vision systems (e.g., Cognex, Keyence) for automated part acquirement, inspection, and/or measurement tasks
