Responsibilities

Provides expert support, analysis and research into exceptionally complex problems, and processes relating to the subject matter. Serves as technical expert on executive-level project teams providing technical direction, interpretation and alternatives

Applies advanced technical principles, theories, and concepts

Contributes to the development of new principles and concepts

Assignments are often self-initiated

Determines and pursues courses of action necessary to obtain desired results

Develops advanced technological ideas and guides their development into a final product

Required

Must be a US citizen or GC Permanent Resident

Must live within a 50 mile radius of DC

Must be willing to work onsite in DC, M-F

At least seven years of experience in specified technical field, or four years of recent, demonstrated experience with specified emerging technology and four years of experience in a closely related technical field

Requires eight years of analytical experience

Expertise is in a particular area of Information Technology (e.g., Information Systems Architecture, Telecommunications Systems Design, Architecture, Implementation, Information Systems Integration, Software Development Methodologies, Security Engineering, Communications and Network Systems Management), or a specific functional area (e.g., finance, logistics, and operations research)

BA/BS or MA/MS in computer science, information systems, mathematics, relevant field, or equivalent experience required
