Montgomery County Public Schools is seeking a Teacher for various content areas in their Blended Learning Program. The role involves planning and providing appropriate learning experiences for students while ensuring their intellectual, physical, social, and emotional development.

Responsibilities

Plans and provides for appropriate learning experiences for students

Provides an atmosphere and environment conducive to the intellectual, physical, social and emotional development of individuals to ensure Success for Every Student

Supervises students in a variety of school related settings

Monitors and evaluates student outcomes

Communicates and interacts with students, parents, staff and community

Develops, selects and modifies instructional plans and materials to meet the needs of all students

Maintains appropriate records and follows required procedures and practices

Monitors appropriate use and care of equipment, materials and facilities

Instructs and assesses in one or more courses in a blended, virtual environment

Collaborates with their assigned team, multiple schools, and other stakeholders

Communicates across multiple modalities

Required

Bachelor's degree in an applicable field of education from an accredited college or university

Meets Maryland state certification requirements in the appropriate field of education

Experience with online instructional strategies, tech (Canvas), and resources

Ability to collaborate with their assigned team, multiple schools, and other stakeholders

Ability to communicate across multiple modalities

Knowledge of MCPS curriculum, techniques for integrating curriculum, MCPS policies, and effective instructional practices

Understanding of the teaching/learning process

Ability to provide instruction that reflects multiple perspectives and multicultural education

Ability to infuse technology into the curriculum

Ability to work effectively with administrators, colleagues, central office, and school-based staff, students, parents, and community

Excellent oral and written communication and human relations skills

Knowledge and application of the six performance standards that have been established for the Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) Teacher Professional Growth System (TPGS), and the Supporting Services (SEIU) Professional Growth System (SSPGS)
