Responsibilities
Conducts and documents project meetings with clients
Manages construction field personnel, including teaming partners
Negotiates and approves construction change orders
Responds to Requests for Information (RFIs)
Prepares proposals and presentations
Prepares and monitors project schedules and budgets
Prepares and issues reports and correspondence
Approves quantities for measurement and payment purposes
Approves construction payment applications
Resolves technical issues
Performs constructability reviews and value engineering studies
Leads Risk Management assessments
Prepares and monitors Quality Control and Assurance Plans
Develops Standard Operating Procedures
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's in Civil Engineering required
PE licensed in the State of California. May be reciprocated from other State licensing boards
Preferred
Experience as a Resident Engineer on Caltrans or similar transportation projects
10+ years' experience
Experience with Primavera P6 preferred
10-hour OSHA Safety course preferred
Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
Good oral and written communication skills
Must possess a driver's license to fulfill the essential functions of the position
