Responsibilities
Drive creation of skincare products throughout all PD lifecycle (formula development, safety + claims validation, creative concept, creative design brief, and market analysis)
Assist in research and execution of product innovation that aligns to customers' DNA and delivers against market needs
Partner with R&D and cross-functional teams to define and write new product concepts, research and select both active and story ingredients, and coordinate regulatory and testing needs within the overall product timeline
Prepare R&D briefs to communicate all development needs including product texture, fragrance benchmark, usage, product ingredients/technologies, positioning, and claims
Evaluate formula submissions and provide feedback to R&D
Track and communicate all product and packaging submission and approvals
Coordinate, track and analyze all testing (safety, clinical, consumer panel, other) including test design and desired claims output
Collaborate with Regulatory to ensure compliance of product formulae and claims
Maintain and communicate weekly project status report
Qualification
Required
3+ years of professional Product Development/ relevant experience
Experience in Beauty industry (skincare) is a must
Thrive in a start-up environment with an all-hands-on-deck positive attitude
Able to reliably commute to the Mahwah, NJ office minimum 2 days per week + ad hoc as needed
