Audio Visual Design Engineer

Responsibilities

Experienced in designing AV signal flows with a strong understanding of audio-visual systems and electronics (basic to advanced levels)
Create AV design diagrams and issue comprehensive construction documentation packages
Work with existing architecture and electrical framework to design AV rooms
Keep up to date with new AV integration technology
Experience with audio-visual systems and design
High attention to detail
Fundamental understanding of IT and networks
Programming experience would be nice, but not required
Ability to create and issue construction documentation and drawing packages
Proficient in CAD and/or Visio for AV design documentation

Required

Experienced in designing AV signal flows with a strong understanding of audio-visual systems and electronics (basic to advanced levels)
Create AV design diagrams and issue comprehensive construction documentation packages
Work with existing architecture and electrical framework to design AV rooms
Keep up to date with new AV integration technology
Experience with audio-visual systems and design
High attention to detail
Fundamental understanding of IT and networks
Ability to create and issue construction documentation and drawing packages
Proficient in CAD and/or Visio for AV design documentation
Audio Visual Engineering Experience: 3 years minimum with designing AV signal flows and AV design diagrams
Proven experience in AV system design and documentation
Experience with CAD, and/or Visio
Understanding of IT networking principles (IP addressing, VLANs, etc.)
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
Must be able to pass a criminal background check and a motor vehicle check

Preferred

Programming experience would be nice, but not required
Programming experience with AV control systems (e.g., Crestron, AMX, Extron) is a plus
Industry certifications (CTS, CTS-D, or equivalent) preferred
Education: Associate degree is preferred, but not required
