Aurora Health Care is looking to add a Surgical Technician to their team at Aurora West Allis Medical Center. The role involves assisting top surgeons, maintaining a sterile environment, and performing various surgical procedures while supporting the surgical team.

Responsibilities

Pass instruments to some of the top Surgeons in the world

Assist with gowning and gloving; preparation and draping of the surgical area, and provision of a sterile field

Perform all types of procedures and maintains advanced knowledge of a variety of procedures

Function as a First or Second Assistant as necessary. This includes, but is not limited to, holding retractors, cauterizing, application of surgical dressings and wound closure under the direct guidance of a surgeon

Transport patients and/or equipment and supplies

Maintain a specialty cart or item, ensuring its completeness and availability. This includes checking the working condition of equipment, sterility, and sending damaged items out for repair

Act as a resource and precepts Surgical Technologists I and/or participates in department or facility committees or work teams
