They are seeking a Professional Surveyor - Land Development to work collaboratively with survey leadership on various tasks associated with land surveying and civil engineering.

Responsibilities

Consult with clients
Strengthen the vision of Florida survey operations by partnering with our leadership team to provide direction and guidance to the Sarasota survey office
Collaborate proactively and productively with other groups and offices across the Southeast operating unit
Oversee survey aspects of civil engineering projects and/or direct preparation of all types of survey plans
Train field staff in land surveying procedures
Prepare weekly survey crew schedules
Coordinate with Sunshine One Call and local utility providers
Monitor project schedules, budgets & deliverables
Prepare proposals and contracts
Manage and coordinate projects with multiple team members
Prepare ROW plans and agreements
CAD oversight and quality assurance
Performing survey computations and data collection
Perform field work associated with land surveying, engineering and construction projects

Qualification

Registered Professional Land SurveyorLand surveying experienceProject management experienceAASBS Degree in SurveyingTrimble Business CenterAutoCAD Civil 3DEffective team building skillsClient relationship buildingData reductionProcessingWritten communication skillsVerbal communication skills

Required

Registered Professional Land Surveyor in Florida or ability to obtain Florida PLS within six months
A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in all aspects of land surveying, including project management experience
AAS or BS Degree in Surveying is preferred
A successful track record of building client relationships in the surveying and related mapping industry
Effective team building skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including report writing
Experienced in all aspects of Land Surveying (Land Development a plus)
Perform Boundary Surveys & ALTA/ACSM Land Title Surveys & As-built plans
Data reduction and processing of field files, topographic surveys, etc
Knowledge of Trimble Business Center (GPS processing) and AutoCAD Civil 3D software a plus
Have the ability to work out of town if required, flexible with work area
Must have a clean driving record and be able to maintain a valid driver's license in order to operate company vehicle
Must be able to pass drug/alcohol screening

Preferred

AAS or BS Degree in Surveying is preferred
Experience with FDOT is strongly preferred
