Mid LevelForward Change is seeking an experienced Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor to provide Vocational Rehabilitation services to individuals who are planning to return to work after experiencing a period of disability or unemployment. The role involves conducting assessments, providing career counseling, and coordinating outreach efforts to facilitate employment for clients.

Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive assessments of individuals strengths, interests, abilities and aptitude to develop and implement a plan to return to work
Provide career counseling and training
Provide job placement services
Develop and coordinate outreach efforts with employers to facilitate the employment of individuals
Maintain comprehensive client files and progress notes
Develop and coordinate community outreach efforts to encourage the employment of individuals in underrepresented communities
Qualification
Required
Masters degree in vocational rehabilitation, mental health, special education, social work, human services, psychology, human resources, public administration or closely related fields
Experience administering Interest, Achievement and Intelligence, Personality, and/ or Sample Assessments
Experience developing Individualized Plan for Employment (IPE) based on vocational evaluation and analysis
Must be well organized and have attention to details
Ability to view clients as individuals who have value and worth regardless of their problems or behaviors
Ability to empower and encourage self-determination while exhibiting a non-judgement perspective
Must maintain a high level of confidentiality regarding all clients and company's proprietary and privileged information used and observed
Establish clear and effective communication to build a collaborative relationship with clients
Knowledge of employment practices and the skills, abilities and physical demands of a standard occupation
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and competing demands
Must have a valid drivers license and a reliable insured motor vehicle
Preferred
Certification in Rehabilitation Counseling or Disability Management Specialist
