Business Development Manager - Chicago
Redmond is a high-integrity general contractor known for transforming spaces and providing top-tier service to clients. They are seeking a highly motivated Business Development Manager to drive new business by identifying, nurturing, and converting relationship-based opportunities, particularly within the commercial interior buildouts sector in Chicago.

Responsibilities
Identify and pursue new business opportunities through strategic relationships with brokers, architects, project managers, designers, and other key stakeholders
Collaborate with leadership to generate leads, prioritize target clients, and align outreach efforts with revenue goals
Coordinate strategic meetings and represent Redmond at industry events as deemed necessary
Work closely with the Director of Marketing & Business Development and Marketing Coordinator to develop proposals, presentations, and pitches that reflect Redmond’s value and capabilities
Collaborate with project team leaders to strategize on pursuit approaches, including company positioning, team composition, supporting collateral, and pitch strategy
Leverage industry insights and market knowledge to inform pursuit decisions and strengthen Redmond’s positioning on opportunities
Conduct research on market trends, potential clients, and competitors to inform outreach strategies and growth planning
Maintain accurate tracking of contacts, leads, and opportunities using Redmond’s CRM (Copper) and other documentation tools
Provide regular updates on business development progress, pursuit outcomes, and other key performance indicators
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree preferably in Business, Marketing, or Construction Management
5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or relationship management
Solid understanding of Chicago's commercial interiors landscape and key industry players
Strong willingness to learn
Entrepreneurial spirit and strategic thinker
Highly collaborative approach and the ability to build trust and consensus across team members
Proven ability to establish profitable relationships with decision makers and influencers at companies and organizations
Confident, personable, and genuine personality
Excellent communication skills
Preferred
AEC or CRE experience highly preferred
