Responsibilities
Working within multiple design teams to support transportation projects from initial project programming up to and through construction
Prepare project plans including but not limited to general plans, typical sections, grading / erosion control plans, drainage / utility plans, profiles, signing / striping plans to support project approvals and construction
Support in the preparation the technical reports including design reports, drainage reports, bid documents and cost estimating
Complete field work including testing, inventory, and inspections
Participate in the construction administration support including shop drawing reviews, reviewing / responding to RFIs, completing periodic site inspections
Qualification
Required
0 to 2 years of relevant experience in civil engineering and consulting with focus in land development
B.S. in Civil or Environmental Engineering from an ABET-accredited college
Understanding of NYSDOT regulations
Proficient in the use of MicroStation/AutoCAD as a design tool for the preparation of plans / drawings
Ability to work within multiple design teams and execute to meet demanding schedules
Must be a U.S. Citizen or be eligible to work without an employer sponsorship
Preferred
Registration as an Intern Engineer (I.E.) in NY
