Youth Treatment Specialist (Part-Time)

Wedgwood Christian Services is dedicated to supporting and restoring the wellbeing of children and families through residential care and counseling. As a Youth Treatment Specialist, you will work with youth ages 16-18, implementing treatment plans and providing mentorship to help them develop essential life skills.

Responsibilities

Implement individual treatment plans tailored to meet the needs of youth ages 16-18 in our program

Ensure the safety of each child

Assist in skill preparation for those who are preparing for independent or community living

Mentor residents

Build relationships utilizing trauma-informed care techniques

Help them develop healthy life skills

Teach teens to use their voices for positive outcomes

Qualification

Required

Applicant must be at least 20 years of age

High school diploma required

Must have a valid driver's license

Ability to pivot, bend, twist and stoop while bearing weight of individuals served

Ability to lift 50 lbs. non-stationary weight through the approved technique

Subscription to the Statement of Faith of Wedgwood Christian Services and agreement with the goal, purpose, and objective of the agency

Preferred

Additional education and/or certification in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field

Prior experience supervising at risk youth
