CT Technologist - PRN
OSS Health is seeking a CT Technologist to perform diagnostic examinations and assist in related functions. The role involves preparing patients for examinations, ensuring safety through compliance with radiation regulations, and operating CT equipment to produce diagnostic images.

Responsibilities
Takes thorough and accurate patient medical histories or reviews and updates current visits available
Strictly follows the American College of Radiology and Cleveland Clinic guidelines for contrast imaging
Accurately correlates patients’ identification and clinical history with the examination being performed
Maintains sterile field while working
Uses radiation safety measures and protection devices to comply with government regulations and to ensure safety of patients and staff
Reviews and evaluates developed CTs, video tape, or computer generated information to determine if images are satisfactory for diagnostic purposes
Position imaging equipment according to specification of examination
Safeguards and maintains all imaging equipment
Explains procedures and observes patients to ensure safety and comfort during scan
Keys commands and data into computer to document and specify scan sequences, adjusts transmitters and receivers for optimal imaging
Operates or oversees operation of CT equipment to produce image of the body for diagnostic purposes
Records, processes and maintains patient data and treatment records and prepares reports
Assists with lifting and positioning patient
Reports unusual occurrences to the supervisor
Assumes responsibility for own personal continuing education and developmental needs
Displays a pleasant, cooperative attitude and working relationship with all patients and staff
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or GED required
Current CT certification from ARRT required
Current BLS certification required
Venipuncture certification required
Must have proficient computer skills
Must be able to work independently and plan and organize work
Must have professional and effective communication skills at all levels
Must be proficient in the English language, both verbally and written
Preferred
Associate's degree in radiography
Previous experience preferred, with at least two years strongly preferred
