Responsibilities

Performs general radiography and mammography. Properly positions patients to obtain desired diagnostic results, places protective lead shields on patients, and sets correct technical exposure

Performs a variety of related clerical tasks such as retrieving previous films, filing, answering phones, relaying messages, completing encounter forms and scheduling

Educate patients and family members so that they have a transparent understanding of the care being provided

Performs quality checks on equipment in accordance with department procedure. Produces the highest quality radiographs and digital images with the lowest practical dose of radiation in accordance with procedure ordered

Demonstrates problem solving, conflict resolution, and positive communication through teamwork
