Executive Director, Global Product Strategy: GI/GU & Early Assets
BioNTech SE is building a commercial organization to launch and drive revenues for its Oncology portfolio. This role will lead the Global Product Strategy team, focusing on developing and potentially launching assets in GI/GU cancers and partnering with oncology clinicians to optimize clinical development programs.

Responsibilities
Extensive knowledge and experience across global markets in the Oncology space, including new product development, new product launches, regulatory landscape, reimbursement environment and healthcare system dynamics, to drive successful commercialization strategies
Deep understanding of GI/GU markets and development of oncology assets Ph1-3
Proven ability to partner and influence within the R&D organization to shape programs to meet patient and clinician needs
Proven ability to partner and influence from a global position with country commercial teams
Proven ability to lead and mentor the tumor team members, providing strategic guidance, coaching and support to drive performance and business objectives
Lead the development and execution of comprehensive marketing strategies, including product branding, positioning, and scientific messaging, to maximize market penetration and revenue growth
Leverage deep understanding of oncology healthcare customers, including providers, key opinion leaders, patients, and market access stakeholders, to inform the go to market approach that drives customer behavior change and market performance
Continually monitor and analyze market, customer, and competitor trends, incorporating insights into clinical development and commercialization plans
Develop the global brand positioning and messaging aligned to assure product characteristics capable of product differentiation and ensure aligned and commercially focused medical and market access strategy, planning and execution
Partner closely and provide strategic direction to cross-functional groups (e.g. Insights & Analytics, R&D, regulatory affairs, sales, finance, and Medical Affairs) for the development and implementation of strategic and executional plans
Where BioNTech has co-commercialization or co-promotion rights ensure consistency and alignment with partner, in relation to the global brand strategy and all relevant resources
Plan and drive budget requirements and ensure monitoring and tracking accordingly
Manage vendor partnerships to ensure key activities are executed to plan, cost-effective and within budget
Qualification
Required
Minimum of 10 years of experience in pharmaceutical or biotech industry with increasing responsibilities
Experience gained both in country/affiliate leadership roles and at regional or international level
Undergraduate degree, MBA, PHD or similar considered a plus
Oncology including immunotherapy knowledge
Significant experience in launching products both internationally and nationally
Strong analytical and organizational skills
Strong collaboration, team- and alignment-building skills
Fluent in English
