The Mergers & Acquisitions Fairness team is seeking a Vice President to guide teams on valuation questions and assist with the review of financial analyses in connection with transactions subject to review by the Fairness Committee.

Responsibilities

Lead valuation and transaction reviews in support of the Fairness Committee process alongside the rest of the core Fairness team
Work with Investment Banking teams in all geographies and industry groups with significant exposure to our most senior M&A professionals
Support the ongoing development and review of valuation best practices
Help lead Investment Banking training on valuation and Investment Banking policy
Co-develop with Engineering and Technology efficient and state of the art tools to support M&A
Keep up to date with external cost of capital and valuation publications, updates and relevant academia
Work with teams on preparing client interactions on cost of capital and other valuation specific matters

Required

[5-7]+ years of experience with investment banking, valuation and business modeling or corporate finance in consultancy or appraisal advisory firms
Excellent knowledge of generally accepted business valuation principles, including discounted cash flows, comparable approach, WACC derivation
Highly motivated self-starter and intellectually curious
Ability to handle multiple assignments across various teams and prioritize as necessary
Judgment and ability to escalate issues as appropriate
Very strong written and oral communications skills necessary
Ability to drive consensus on approach to emerging valuation issues, etc
Proactive and dependable
