This hands-on role involves Day 0 and Day 1 deployments, automation, and seamless customer migrations, working alongside a talented team to deliver MPN as a service across diverse platforms.

Responsibilities

Assist with OpenStack, Kubernetes, and Helm deployments in a Linux environment

Lead site turn-ups and First Office Application (FOA) deployments for new SMF/UPF environments

SMF/UPF application deployment understanding required to diagnose automation failures and provide corrective feedback

Perform customer and account migrations with zero service interruption

Develop and execute automation scripts for pre/post checks, on-air validation, and migration workflows

Collaborate with transport teams to integrate with Cisco/Nokia SR fabric

Ensure smooth handoff to operations teams and support transition to production

Work within approved maintenance windows , primarily during night shifts , to minimize customer impact

Cloud platform architecture comprehension necessary for troubleshooting across OpenStack, WebScale, and emerging platforms

Task tracking and deadline management

Status reporting and stakeholder communication

Required

2 to 4 years of experience with OpenStack

2 to 4 years of experience with Kubernetes

2 to 4 years of experience with Docker (including docker-compose)

2 to 4 years of experience with Python Scripting

2 to 4 years of experience with Ansible Automation

2 to 4 years of experience with Linux system administration

Hands-on experience with Ericsson SMF/UPF components

Strong understanding of project management fundamentals

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)

Preferred

Experience with Cisco Gateway 5000 series

Experience with Cisco Border Leaf / Access Leaf architecture

Experience with Nokia 7K routers

Red Hat OpenStack certification

Python (PCEP, PCAP, PCPP) certification

Linux+ or RHCSA/RHCE certification

MongoDB Certified Developer Associate certification

Cisco CCNA certification
