Kate McLeod creates solid body care products and is seeking a Production Assistant to join their team in Hudson Valley. The role involves handcrafting skincare products, ensuring quality and safety standards are met, and operating machinery in a kitchen-like workshop environment.

Responsibilities

Responsible for both the setup and operation of the production line to ensure daily production goals are met

Monitor both equipment and material running through machinery to ensure quality and safety standards are adhered to; report any concerns to management in a timely manner

Inspect all materials and finished goods to ensure products meet our quality standards; this may include scent testing and visually inspecting products as part of daily quality checks

Adhere to all health and safety guidelines and utilize required safety gear when performing specific tasks

Ensure both machinery and surrounding workspace are clean and orderly

Assist in simple machinery maintenance and upkeep

Accurately monitor and record daily production output, including ingredient details, wastage, and QA rejects through paper logs or directly in the computer system, if applicable

Monitor material availability to ensure daily production output can be achieved and communicate any issues to management

Coordinate the change-over of the production line for daily SKU changes and/or ensure the line is properly prepped for close of business

Packaging products as needed

Perform other duties as assigned
