Ski & Snowboard Patroller

Responsibilities

Respond to medical emergencies on the mountain, transporting injured guests off of the mountain
Administer first aid, if necessary
Assess and mitigate hazards and safety concerns within the Resort ski area
Maintain Resort ski area signs, ropes, and padding
Educate guests on proper conduct and safety measures
Complete required paperwork and reports accurately and timely
Perform sweeps at the end of the day to ensure that all guests and employees are safely off the mountain
Special duties may include performing chair lift evacuations, search and rescue, and avalanche mitigation
Perform other duties as assigned

Qualification

Required

Must be at least 18 years of age
Current CPR required
EMT, Outdoor Emergency Care, or Wilderness First Responder certification is required
Must demonstrate advanced to expert skiing or snowboarding ability to safely navigate any area of the mountain in all weather and snow conditions
Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Must have a strong work ethic and self-motivation
Must work well with a team and collaborate with others regularly
