Heterogenous Assembly Integration Intern

Responsibilities
As an intern, you will apply your knowledge and skill acquired from coursework and research to help develop the next generation of architecture and heterogeneous integration of Keysight compound semiconductor IC’s
Research and development efforts will focus on processes such as pick and place, thermo compression bonding (TCB), wafer separation and surface mount assembly, while applying lean manufacturing techniques to existing processes such as statistical process control and root cause corrective action
At the same time, you will gain and apply knowledge about Keysight's industry, infrastructure and products in your assignment
This is developing real world experience in a company that is a leader in the markets it serves
Qualification
Required
Pursuing a MS, or PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, or similar field
Candidates must have excellent interpersonal, problem solving, and communication skills for successful inter-group and intra-group interactions
Must be highly motivated to accomplish all the tasks required to meet aggressive product development schedules and world class manufacturing expectations
Candidates who wish to be considered must be currently enrolled in a accredited college/university as of September 2026

This position requires access to certain goods, software, technology, or technical data subject to U.S. export control laws and regulations
Preferred
Some experience with advanced microelectronics processes is essential and specific skills in III-V semiconductor processing is preferred
Hands-on lab experience in semiconductor processing such as lithography, deposition, etch, plasma processing, electroplating, wafer thinning, dicing, and/or sort is highly desired
Experience with statistical process control and design of experiments is a valued qualification
